Check out the awesome campaign images we produced for street footwear label Onitsuka TIger. After much researching and testing in the SIx Wolves studio we discovered that Tiger sneakers are perfect sneaker for free running.

Our Parkour specialist and model Rhys James kept us all on our toes as we photographed him free running through the streets and laneways of downtown Melbourne.

Who or what inspired you to become a model?

Soon-to-be good friend of mine photographer Brock Elbank poached me off the street for a fashion editorial he had coming up. He already had the concept but just needed the (bearded) subject … After this experience it was liberating being apart of someone else vision.

Spill the beans on your worst experience on set so far?

I wouldn’t call it my worst experience (as in bad) but more like an unexpected experience. We planned to shoot out in the bush and by the time we got to the location it started to rain without realising we didn’t really have any adequate shelter or dry space to change/prepared in-between shots, so we ended up hijacking some poor families carport ...Anyway hours later a car pulls up in the driveway and there we were about 6 of us standing around with clothes hanging everywhere, electrical chords and make up scattered around the place. It ended up being all good though; they offered us tea and coffee (lovely family)

Best advice you’ve ever been given and did you use it?

Keep it simple and treat people how you’d expected to be treated. I use it everyday.

Career highlight?

It’d probably have to be walking down the runway at RAFW 2011. Who knew walking in a straight line could be so intimidating.

Tell us something we may not know about you?

Umm, my passion for music. A universal medium with no boundaries, you can connect with it one-on-one or you can share it among many.

Who or what inspires you at Razou?

Quantum Physics and Oscar Wilde. Also working with people in their personal (not commerical) style. It's so nice to be free of confines and able to create a different way of doing things and then in turn the creative process becomes inspiring.

2. Spill the beans on your worst experience on set at Razou so far?

Jet lagged sitting in our underwear in high summer NY heat trying to customize denim at midnight and spilling an entire can of paint on the hardwood floor of our Brooklyn sublet.

3. Best advice you've ever been given and do you use it?

Swing from the shoulder, shoot from the hip. Your head is older than your feet. Don't go looking for trouble, let it knock on your front door.... oh we could go on and on with this question!

4. Highlights at Razou so far?

Working with like-minded open-hearted beauties. There is also pretty exciting piece we are working on for the next issue. It revolves around a bunch of old Sydney Icons, but we can't give it away just yet.

5. Tell us something we may not know about you?

Simone only lies if she believes she is telling the truth. Flick grew up in a hippie cabin in the woods, Britt in a cult.

1. Who or what inspired you to become a director?

Mostly it was the Russian and French directors, particularly Tarkovsy and Cocteau.

2. Spill the beans on your worst experience on set so far?

Close to death a few times shooting in high altitude with no oxygen. Getting a gun to the head shooting in Beirut, Just making it to safety after a train pushing us off a rail bridge in Bolivia. But they are all good memories

3. Best advice you've ever been given and did you use it?

Sometimes just confusing the actor will get the best, or most natural, performance, and yes I do use it.

4. Career highlight?

Any day I'm shooting.

5. Tell us something we may not know about you?

I'm only 17. I don't have Facebook. I do actually live in Sydney.

1. Who or what inspired you to become a photographer?

My inability to paint or draw. Well not quite, but I'm sure it had something to do with it.
I was drawn to photography of the 60's and 70's. It boomed in those decades, capturing some of histories most dynamic cultural changes.
The idea of capturing a time and place while stamping it with your own perspective, is what inspires me to be a photographer.

2. Spill the beans on your worst experience on set so far?

When your talent for the day is in tears is a good indication ya day aint going so well. It's never my doing I swear.
Thankfully it's only ever happened once.

3. Best advice you've ever been given and did you use it?

A nod is as good as a wink.

4. Career highlight?

Exhibiting at the National Portrait Gallery was pretty great.
Any excuse to go on a trip for personal work rules. I had an amazing road trip across the States a couple years back and exhibited the results in my first solo show.
I'm hoping to back it up with a trip to Mexico this year.

5. Tell us something we may not know about you?

I have a hoof print hidden under my beard after being kicked by a horse when I was super young.

1. Who or what inspired you to become a Stylist?

The idea that you are creating something that wouldn't otherwise be created, that's what keeps me going. My initial interest was sparked on my first ever shoot when I was about 12 years old and later during my time working with Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton (of sass & bide).

2. Spill the beans on your worst experience on set so far?

Once I was doing a really tacky boy band film clip. They had this 'sexy' scene where they wanted red nurses uniforms (which I had to dye from white). I was giving these horrible nylon mini dresses their 4th dye at my assistant's house (whilst he was on the shoot) and they just kept coming out pink. In the end we worked a 20 hour day, the director yelled at us, they cut the scene, the whole thing actually cost me money and I had to hang out with a bunch of young dudes who spend a lot longer on their hair then me. It was much worse then the time my assistant James set off the smoke alarms with a steamer on a big Sony job. The building had to be evacuated. Now that was embarrassing.

3. Best advice you've ever been given and did you use it?

The best advice I was ever given, and listened to, was 'never wear heels to work experience'. The best advice I've been given that I've ignored was 'be nice to everyone, you never know who they'll be". I wear my heart on my sleeve. The best advice I can give to aspiring stylists? Develop good arm muscles, your own style and help others out. It keeps you fresh.

4. Career highlight?

Working on the diffusion line of Imitation of Christ in New York and launching online magazine Razou (www.razou.com.au).

5. Tell us something we may not know about you?

I have a cat named Wu and I like the taste of soap.

1. Who or what inspired you to become one of Australia's leading make-up artists?

My love of fashion and theatre. I love the reality and the fantasy of what my work entails. It makes every day a new adventure and pleasure to be able to do what I love.

2. Spill the beans on your worst experience on set so far?

When I was living and working in Paris, one of my first paid jobs was a 3 hour train ride out of Paris. I didn't speak the language and no other crew member spoke English. There were these 2 sleazy male photographers, no assistants and 2 really tarty models.

We arrived at this really dodgy chateau and I realised there was no stylist either....... Needless to say I quickly caught on to what type of shoot it was. It wasn't so much what they were shooting, I have no problem with the content of a shoot, it was more the fact that I had expected something completely different for my first shoot in Paris, I was quietly very excited about working there. That and the photographers were super creepy and straight out of a really bad movie and I had no one to laugh and share the experience with!

3. Best advice you've ever been given and did you use it?

Be nice to everyone on the way up cause you're bound to meet them again on the way back down. Have I taken that advice as gospel? Mmmm, some people deserve whats coming to them ;)

4. Career highlight?

Assisting Pat McGrath on the Milan and Paris shows, Colour developing for Shiseido cosmetics, Directing my first shows for Australian Fashion Week and being appointed Beauty Director for Oyster magazine (a position I no longer do, but really loved and enjoyed whilst I did).

1. What made you want to battle the tough world of photography and how did you get your foot in the door?

I fell into photography quite by chance through a series of encounters in Tokyo. I was lucky to meet some great people who offered great opportunities. Slowly one break led to another and here I am!

2. Spill the beans on your worst experience on set so far?

Luckily for me, there hasn't been anything too disastrous. My general bad experiences come down to bad weather. You know the kind of thing - laptops nearly getting blown off clifftops, rain soaked models, or just rushing like a maniac to get the job done before the typhoon hits.

3. Best advice you've ever been given?

Backup EVERYTHING.

4. Career highlight so far?

Working with my favorite Japanese fashion editor who has given me lots of great opportunities and is just such a pleasure to work with. Also, spending an afternoon shooting model/musician Irina Lazareanu guerilla-style on the streets and subways of Tokyo was pretty fun.

1. How did you end up being one of Australia's top photographers?
Nice question guys....I don't like being humble and I don't like to blow my trumpet, basically I had an aim and that was to be a good photographer , which on some days I am and on other days I'm very average.

2. Spill the beans on the best and worst experiences of your career so far?
My worst experience was when I was judging the NZIPP advertising awards and quickly realised the work in front of me was not obviously commissioned and I did not want to judge it against the commissioned work and mentioned this to the head judge who starting calling me f***ing Sydney wanker etc etc so I turned around and started spraying my words at him until the audience literally had to step in and bring some sanity into the judging room. To make matters worse I gave up a huge Mercedes campaign for this experience.

I've had so many great experiences and truly think my best one is yet to come. Recently re-inventing my photography and mind set in a market place that changed and is changing at a pace that's mind numbing, is a great personal experience and is one of the main reasons I stay in this job/life style because it keeps you motivated at all levels.

3. Best advice you have been given in life?
You are what it is and that's all it is.

4. Tell us something we may not know about you?
I regularly practise air guitar and air drumming in front of my wife and mirror, hoping one day to enter the Australian championships...cool?

1. How did you end up being one of Australia's top photographers?

I'm not one of Australia's top photographers.
You'd have to go to Ingvar Kenne, Hugh Stewart, Trent Parke, Andrew Cowen, Ben Sullivan or Stephen Dupont for that kindof talk.

2. Spill the beans on the best and worst experiences of your career so far?

Best Experience: shooting Natalie Imbruglia up on the top of the Opera House was pretty amazing. Although 3 weeks in Mexico for Corona recently wasn't too hard either.

Worst experience: I haven't had it too bad really. I've had cameras ripped off, film lost and a couple of clients I would have liked to lose also. Other than that, nothing too much has gotten in the way.

3. Best advice you have been given in life?

Shit. I can remember my Mum telling me to just do my best. And Dad telling me not to fart in elevators.

4. Tell us something we may not know about you?

As much as it doesn't look like it. I do shower every day.

The Wolves converted Level 1 of the QVB into an amazing art gallery space during Rosemount Fashion Festival. QVB will be hosting a world first exhibition "Crazy Beautiful" Backstage at Australian Fashion Week, curated by Six Wolves.
A group show featuring photographers, Eddy Ming, Steven Siewert, Mick Bruzzese, Sonny Vandevelde and Elvis Di Fazio.
Show opens Aug 23 and continues to September 12.

1. How did you end up being one of Australia's leading advertising photographers?

Accidents, chance, then came hard work, I like working with ideas and in collaborations with production value, so it kinda figures.

2. Spill the beans on the best and worst experiences of your career so far?

The best would be the travel, either on personal projects by myself, or when, in a pre pro meeting I can convince enough of the right people to agree that indeed the light is far superior in Iceland / Barbados / Spain etc..... and I will need to take my team of people.

And the worst - some of the "Photographers Treatments" I have had to do. Its not so much I don't value them in terms of expressing what your planning, but, well, I like to have multiple views on how to do things and approach concepts, and I consider the pre pro process a development stage and only the image selection and actually the end of the post production as the conclusion. So I can have many ways of looking at something.

3. Best advice you have been given in life?

As important as anyone in the industry would have you believe - we don't save lives.

4. Tell us something we may not know about you?

I'm passionate about things, so I'm opinionated, I should probably stop there.

1. How did you end up being one of Australia's top fashion photographers?

I don't know if id go that far!

I say i ended up being one of Australia's most mediocre but best looking fashion photographers by a odd mix of luck, ambivalence and miss-directed competitive spirit.

2. Spill the beans on the best and worst experiences of your career so far?

There's nothing really specific i can think of. After awhile the only things you remember are the people you enjoy working with. So that is always the best part. Working with people you like.

There's not too much bad involved in my job, i'm not a massive fan of indecisiveness or computers crashing or shithouse models but things could be worse.

3. Best advice you have been given in life?

Keep your eye on the ball.

4. Tell us something we may not know about you?

My finest talents are reverse parallel parking and sleeping. I'm really good at both!
